WHAT IS XEOMIN?

Xeomin is another neuromodulator used to treat wrinkles on the face.  Xeomin is similar to Botox and Dysport, but contains a different molecule, called incobotulinumtoxinA.  Xeomin is a smart toxin with a double-filtered formula that removes unnecessary proteins, so you get only what’s needed for smoother lines, treatment after treatment.

HOW DOES XEOMIN WORK?

Just like Botox and Dysport, Xeomin is injected directly into the overactive muscles of the face.  Xeomin blocks neurotransmitters that would otherwise stimulate muscle activity.  This allows for the muscle to relax and avoid repetitive movements that can lead to wrinkle development.  Our goal is not to ‘freeze’ your expression, but to provide a natural-looking appearance.

WHY XEOMIN?

Xeomin is known as the 'naked' muscle relaxer, because it is formulated using double filtration to be potent while stripped of excess proteins, further reducing the chances of unwanted reactions.

WHAT TO EXPECT

All neuromodulator treatments are performed in our office. using a very short series of tiny injections to place the product directly into the muscles to be treated.  There is no downtime after the treatment; most people return directly to their usual activities.  The effects are not seen immediately; they begin to appear a few days after the treatment, at times as early as 24 hours post treatment.  The full effect  can be appreciated about 2 weeks following your treatment.
